The official First Car Rental handover of the first batch of 300 Proton cars recently took place.
It’s no surprise that Proton cars are spilling into the car rental fleet pools. But, with First Car Rental leading that pack, customers will now have the opportunity to get into the Proton cars.
“Since the launch of Proton South Africa and the Proton X50 and Proton X70, we have seen a steady upward rise in brand confidence; this from insurance companies, banks and now vehicle rental companies,” explains Trevor Morey, Proton South Africa Head of Sales and Marketing. With the Proton 5-star safety rating, Proton cars are giving various industries the edge they need to provide clients with extra care. “I think the stand-out point to note is that these vehicles are solid. The build quality commensurate with any competitive product in their segments, and, can be argued that they are better,” explains Bruce Barritt, Managing Director of First Car Rental.
“They are great to look at on the road and have incredible performance. So far, the vehicles have been very well received, and we are very excited for what the customer feedback will be going forward,” ends Barritt.
